09:38 am: hello
bit harsh reading my last entry. Since writing it my grandad sadly passed away. the funeral is tomorrow.

have returned to work today after a week off. during that time i went to Barcelona for three days with Vic. it's a fab city and would like to visit again. also managed to spend the day in Salou with Fliss. feels like a month ago that we were there.

we are all ok thanks. it hasn't really hit me yet. i think it will when i least expect it, like on xmas day, or some event he would have been a big part of. He had a good life, and was well loved, and i genuinely believe he's gone to a better place. Thanks for getting in touch ducky!

Awww... was sad to hear. I was like that when my nan died - she was really ill and when she died it wasn't a shock, and I felt she was in a better place. Bizarrely, I didn't grieve for a couple of years (wondered what on earth was wrong with me) and then I heard the Backstreet Boys singing "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" in Asda and suddenly did... my advice... stay away from frozen chickens and you'll be fine! x

Thanks :) in an odd sort of way the funeral was really nice. i come from down south originally, so it was nice to see relatives (my aunt and uncle, my dad's cousin Maureen and daughter, Cassie; two of my dad's other cousins) that i don't see very often. and the service was lovely. we left the service to 'Never, never, never' by Shirley Bassey. The thought of that is enough to make me smile :)
